Monica Wilson
Monica Wilson is registered with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) as an Assisted Living Core training provider and with the Florida Department of Elder Affairs as an Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders training provider.
Monica Wilson is an experienced administrator, trainer, facilitator, and educator with a passion for older adults, technology and connecting people and processes. Monica’s ALF Core Competency Exam passage rate year to year is always one of the highest in the state. She currently works with large and small assisted living communities in the areas of licensing and compliance, operations, policy and procedure development, emergency planning and leadership training.
A graduate of the University of Florida and Nova Southeastern University's School of Business, Monica holds a Master's degree in Gerontology and is currently an adjunct instructor at Palm Beach State College for the past nine years. She has held various management positions in senior living organizations. As the Assistant Director of the Assisted Living Program for the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, Monica oversaw the statewide training program for ALF Administrators and the development of the initial ALF Core training certification exam. She has provided consultation to other states on assisted living policy.
